A Lifetime of Love and Laughs

A bank may not be the place that comes to mind when talking about meeting our forever, so it may be endearingly funny to hear a love story that began in a bank. But for Ralph and Chelsy, it is their encounter inside this financial building that led to eventually tying the knot.

Ralph and Chelsy first met when he sat down at her desk in the bank as a client. This serendipitous encounter revealed that the two had a shared circumstance—standup comedy. Ralph was getting ready to leave on a cruise for work. He mentioned to Chelsy that he is a standup comedian for a cruise, and this easily sparked her interest as Chelsy’s late father had the same job. This shared bond formed a friendship between the two.

The friendship soon blossomed into romance, and, with the lockdowns caused by the pandemic, Ralph stayed in quarantine with Chelsy and her kids in Reno. This allowed the couple to realize that they were meant to be together. It was only a matter of time before a wedding date was set.

Covid 19 and family situations made the couple decide to have an intimate wedding. Despite that, their big day was nothing short of memorable and special. Cactus Collective Weddings helped the couple make their wedding wishes come true in the scenic Red Rock Canyon. The bride and groom enjoyed their first look and had the time to laugh and closely mingle with their guests.

It is often said that laughter is the best medicine, hence our love for comedy. For the newly-wed Chelsy and Ralph, a background in comedy is what brought them together, and now they will share a lifetime of love and laughs as husband and wife.
