Their Story

Christine and Charles have an origins story right out of a Rom Com. They first worked together when Christine was 19 and Charles was doing deliveries for the company she worked for. Although she thought he was cute, she also thought he was too young and quiet so they didn’t talk much. Flash forward to years later after Christine left that company and had been through a divorce and they wound up working together again! The coincidence did not go unnoticed and the two got together instantly. Charles even surprised himself when he proposed at a Rochester Amerks hockey game. He had the engagement ring on him and told his friends if his team scored, he would propose. As the team got closer to scoring, him and all his mates of course started screaming loudly, much to the confusion of Christine who couldn’t understand why they were so amped up about a game. All was revealed when they scored and Charles got down on one knee. Christine of course, said yes.

They both knew they didn’t want a traditional wedding in a church and when they saw a picture of Red Rock Canyon they knew that was the spot for them. Though they originally planned on it just being the two of them, they quickly changed their minds when friends and family poured out interest to be there. They had their first look at their hotel before heading to Red Rock Canyon and said it helped get all their nerves out.

Christine worse a fabulous gown by Heart to Heart Bridal and had her hair and makeup done by Beauty Studio which really finished the look. She sent her pictures ahead of time of what she envisioned and luckily they nailed it. The couple arrived in style with the help of one of our limo services and were thrilled that they arrived on time and even stopped for drinks!

The couple had this advice to give for other couples: “Do your research, and if you’re doing Vegas, Cactus Collective is a must.  They were amazing.  I had a bit of an issue before I booked with them (booked with another place) then contacted Cactus Collective and spoke with Makenzie and she was fabulous.  They are personally involved and interested in your every detail. So one piece research!!”
