Rain on your wedding day has traditionally signalled good luck. But if it’s pouring down, it can be hard to keep your spirits up. Don’t worry, the Cactus Collective Weddings team is here to brighten your day!
Odds are Great the Weather Will Be Good
The weather man can’t change the weather and neither can we. But we are super fortunate to live and work in a part of the country that sees very little rain.
Las Vegas is the driest large city in the United States with an average yearly rainfall of only 4.3 inches. That amounts to a tenth of an average year’s rainfall anywhere in the Midwest or Eastern cities! And the sunshine is plentiful – Vegas sees 294 cloudless days per year!

Compare that to other warm weather destination wedding locations. South Florida gets nearly 60 inches of rain a year. The most beautiful spots in Hawaii get between 25 and 100 inches or more. Los Angeles gets about 15 inches in their rainy season. And Phoenix has more than 7 inches of rain a year. That’s half as much as LA, but still twice as much as Vegas.
The chance you’ll have a dry wedding day with CCW are better than any odds you’ll find at the casinos on the Strip!
A Silver Lining in Every Cloud
Even when rain is in the forecast, the news isn’t all bad. Rain in Vegas is spotty, and never lasts very long. But if you get stuck in the worst of it on your wedding day, CCW helps make the most of it.

We’ll break out the see-through umbrellas and have fun with it. In their ever-sunny outlook, the British gave them a whimsical name, BROLLIES! We love the way the name sounds and the way they look on camera. With the right attitude they can make for incredible props in your wedding photographs.
You’ll have plenty of encouragement from the CCW team. We’ll be standing by with cheery smiles, silly jokes, playful posing ideas and lots of hoots and hollers as we cheer you on during your rainy day photo session or ceremony.
Our outdoor venues are gorgeous, but, naturally, are subject to the elements. We embrace the outdoors and everything it has to throw at us in pursuit of incredible wedding experiences amongst some of the most incredible landscapes in the American southwest. And on the off-chance it does rain, we really live it up! Because, hey, we need the water. It’s a dang desert out here!
