27 Wild and Incredible Small Wedding Venues in Las Vegas to Book Right Now

Couples planning to have a micro wedding may be ahead of the trend. Have you seen the story in the New York Times proclaiming luxury small weddings the wave of the future? They’re less stressful and provide a super curated experience. Small weddings offer more enjoyment, more flexibility, and more meaningful connections. They also allow couples to be more intentional with food choices, entertainment choices and the people they are with during their celebration. And, maybe most importantly, they open up some really stunning small wedding venue options that otherwise wouldn’t work.

Think about it; if you’re planning to invite 124 people, the average guest count here in the Southwest (and in the Mid-Atlantic region, too) according to wedding mega site The Knot, you’re limited to venues that can accommodate that many guests. But a small wedding venue only needs to have room for your closest friends and family, typically no more than 50 people. The options really open up and give you the ability to spend your special day in some truly incredible locations.

That’s where we come in.

Cactus Collective Weddings has sorted out the best small wedding venues in Las Vegas. Your perfect micro spot awaits. Find the best one for you by checking out our list of 27 small wedding venue options.

Common Question: What is a micro wedding and why would I choose to have one?

Answer: Cactus Collective Weddings defines a micro wedding as a celebration with 50 or fewer guests. Micro weddings are intimate celebrations for a small group of close friends and family which are held with intention and put the focus on the couple. Micro weddings are typically cheaper, and more stress free than a large traditional wedding.

Common Question: How many guests can a typical micro wedding venue accommodate?

Answer: Depending on the venue, your party of between 2 and 50 can be easily accommodated.

Valley of Fire

One of the Mojave Desert’s most scenic landscapes. It’s less than an hour away from the Strip but it feels like you’re on another planet. Book this small wedding venue near Las Vegas if you’re looking for amazing views of fiery sandstone formations without the tourist crush.

Answer: Small chapels, wide open outdoor spaces, picturesque parks, lush gardens and even vineyards! Others include museums, a working farm, a ghost town, unique casino spaces and an old post office.

Common Question: What is the average cost of a micro wedding venue compared to a traditional wedding venue?

Answer: Much less. We’re talking hundreds, not (tens of?) thousands. In total, with the venue fee included, our packages, which include florals, an official, the venue fee AND photography, start around $2150! The venue fee is only a small portion of that.

Common Question: What kind of amenities and facilities are included in the rental fee?

Answer: Of course, given the variety of our venue selection, the amenities and facilities at each are different. If you choose one of our luxurious resorts, you’ll have access to all the great things Vegas has to offer. That’s not necessarily true of our park, mountain top and canyon-style venues. If you’re interested in one of our more rustic venues, reach out and we’ll fill you in.

Common Question: Can I have both the ceremony and reception at the same micro wedding venue?

Answer: Yes. It’s easier at some venues than others. But even the Dry Lake Bed, a completely empty speck of land in the middle of the desert, can accommodate a pretty impressive setup in the middle of nowhere with the right amount of imagination and planning.

The Neon Museum

Nowhere else on earth will you find a collection like that of the Neon Museum. Common Question: What kind of restrictions or rules do micro wedding venues have in terms of timing, noise or outside vendors?

Answer: Each venue has its own rules in place that make sense for them. Some of our venues place more restrictions in place than others, and some embrace the Wild Wild West ethos still acceptable in some parts of Vegas. We’ve done the research and have the answers for each. Reach out and we’ll be happy to explain the rules for your top venue choices.

Common Question: How far in advance should I book a micro wedding venue?

Frequently Asked Questions

What scenic outdoor locations near Las Vegas are recommended for small weddings?

Our top choices for scenic outdoor locations near Las Vegas are Red Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, Eldorado Canyon and the Dry Lake Bed at sunrise.

How do people get married so quickly in Vegas?

Three things make it super easy to get married super quick in Las Vegas. 1 – The marriage license bureau is open 365 days a year, yes on holidays too. 2- Unlike in some other parts of the United States and the world, in Las Vegas there’s no waiting period in Clark County. Get your license at the same time you appear in person to complete your application. 3 – The abundance of small wedding venues in Las Vegas contribute to the option for a short turn around. These three factors make Las Vegas the wedding capital of the world.

Can you get a marriage license and get married the same day in Las Vegas?

Yes! Totally doable. But for an easy low-stress experience we recommend you start the process online via the Clark County Marriage License Bureau’s website. That way you’ll already have the paper work complete and all you have to do is walk in and collect your license. Be sure to take it with you to your ceremony and give it to the officiant. They’ll be in charge of signing it and turning it back in. You’ll also need one witness. When you book with Cactus Collective Weddings your photographer will act as your witness.

What is the cheapest month to get married in Las Vegas?

As far as wedding packages, vendors, venues and coordinators and servicers there is no cheapest month. A good time of year to get married if you’re looking to save money is during the slow months for visitation traffic. Oftentimes, you’ll find the cheapest hotel rooms in the heat of the summer when temps rise over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Don’t worry, it’s a dry heat and there’s air conditioning everywhere you go.
