Hearts Humming in Harmony

Music has a way of expressing thoughts and feelings that we cannot articulate. Through the emotions we feel in its words and melody, music connects us to one another. And for Shera and Shane, it is also music that brought them together.

Shane and Shera met through a get-together of a common friend. They did not get immediately romantic towards one another and started out as friends, sharing their love for music and traveling. They became really close, and their curious similarities strengthened their friendship.

Like melody to a song, things fell into place when they both became single after a year in their friendship. It was just a matter of time before romance bloomed between the two. They spent more time together and went on trips. Even the songs that they shared with each other to listen to changed in theme; from just the usual jams, to songs of love and needing and wanting to be together. This confirmed how they truly felt about each other. And after two years of dating, Shera took advantage of the Leap Day of 2020 and proposed to Shane. Shane, with the magic of the Leap Day, said yes.

Shane and Shera initially had big plans and set their wedding for 2021, but with challenges brought by the pandemic, they spontaneously decided to travel and have an intimate wedding instead. Cactus Collective Weddings surely hit all the right notes for the couple’s wedding preparations. Their spontaneous yet exciting decision to change their plans did not get in the way of enjoying a perfect wedding day. Their blue and rose gold choice of colors looked stunning in the landscape of the Red Rock Canyon. The flowers and accessories jazzed up their boho-classic theme.

The couple was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected details in their wedding. One of their favorite moments was unexpected too. Shera fell backward and the two shared laughs, but the first thing they asked was if the photographer was able to take a picture of it. A unique yet lovable way to remember their day, and a testament to how together, they’re able to see things positively.

Shane and Shera was brought together by music, and now, as a married couple, they’re off to make sweet music with their friendship and love for each other.
