We loved this couple not only for their free spirit but also for their love of family and tradition which was displayed throughout their ceremony.

Most brides stick to the tradition of wearing an old family heirloom for their “something borrowed” but Elena took it to another level and it made the day really special. She not only wore her mother’s wedding dress but also wore Jeffrey’s mother’s pearls around her neck.

The rings Jeffrey exchanged with her were his grandmother’s and she also wore his grandmother’s original garter belt, along with a blue one she had sewn for her just in case she needed “something blue.”

She was literally adorned head to toe with pieces from the most important women in her life: her mother, Jeffrey’s mother and his grandmother.

This amazing couple met years ago while working at the same restaurant together and have been together the past 7 and a half years.

Three years ago the couple went on a spontaneous date to the Bok Tower, which sits on top of a ridge of orange groves in Central Florida, and Jeffrey proposed.

He had a photographer secretly follow them around so that they could capture the exact moment when he got down on one knee overlooking the garden and asked for her hand in marriage.

Elena and Jeffrey spent the whole day together getting ready and loved every minute of it:

“It was all really fantastic, made even that much better by the natural beauty all around us.  Wanda’s ceremony was beautiful and really captured the moment well.  Stomping around the desert with Carrie, Jim, and Donovan taking pictures and playing was equally fun,” says Elena.

They also had a lot of good things to say about our vendors:

“Every single person was professional and fun. They were excited for us which made the whole experience that much better. We are happy we went with all of your recommendations.

Steve at Presidential and Kelly at SmoothBrides were both fabulous people. Top-notch customer service! I didn’t even have any idea what I wanted to do for hair and makeup and Kelly still made me look fly.”

Though they loved every part of the day they admitted that finally saying “I do” was their favorite part.

We get this sentiment from couples a lot which goes to show you, no matter how much planning you put into the ceremony or how much attention to detail, the only thing that really matters is that you are marrying the person you love.
