Their Story
When it comes to love, friends truly make the best matchmakers. Dmitry and Collette have their college friends to thank for getting them together. They met 9 years ago while getting their graduate degree at UT Dallas. A group of mutual friends went for happy hour and Collette caught Dmitry’s eye right away. He had to be patient though because at the time she had a boyfriend. Once she was free, the two went for coffee and talked for hours. They started officially dating shortly after and have been together ever since.
Dmitry proposed in one of the most breathtaking ways possible. While vacationing in Iceland they took a private tour to see the Northern Lights. After a disappointing week of cloudy skies, they had one last shot to see this wonder of nature. While they were standing under the aurora, Dmitry got down on one knee and totally surprised Collette. Swoon!
They knew they wanted something untraditional for their wedding but still wanted something memorable. They knew being surrounded by the beauty of Red Rock Canyon would be a unique way to start their new lives together so opted for that as their venue. The two decided to ride in the limo together to the location and even brought their friends along which made for a really special time.

“The officiant Wanda was so, so amazing. We could tell she took the time to read about us and had some very sweet things to say. Jessie was also very personable and sweet, she made us feel immediately comfortable and I actually enjoyed getting pictures taken (usually that is not the case). Since our family was not there, our photographs were really important to us and she did such a phenomenal job! My hair and makeup team (Amelia C.) were great! They were very efficient and I felt so beautiful afterwards.”
